HEARTY HELLO TO ALL NATURE ENTHUSIASTS!
Do you want to take action against littering yourself?
Then join us for our CleanUp Day on September 20, 2024! Litter in nature is also a significant problem in Austria. To make a joint statement against littering, Naturfreunde International, together with the Austrian Federal Forests, UpStreamSurfing, and our organization, be up, are organizing a cleanup in the Völser Innau near Innsbruck.
Why Völser and Kranebitter Au?
The Völser Innau is a protected landscape area of about 12 hectares. Regular parties take place there during the summer, and unfortunately, trash is often left behind. Together, we will collect trash and learn about the diverse nature in the Innauen.
Preliminary Schedule
We look forward to many helping hands, following the motto “the more, the better”!

Project Description:
On August 24th, 2024, we met at Vienna’s main train station and traveled together to the Hohe Wand in Lower Austria. There, we spent a weekend in nature aimed at enhancing our well-being, connecting with nature, and taking a break from the constant use of digital devices. The weekend was filled with meditation, workshops by @native.mind titled “Connect with Nature,” and outdoor games and activities. The evening concluded with a cozy barbecue around the campfire. On Sunday, we went on a 5-hour hike across the Hohe Wand to Grünbach am Schneeberg, from where we began our journey back home. Throughout the entire trip, we refrained from using mobile phones.
The costs for the train ride and meals were covered by Be Up.
The project was funded by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and co-financed by the EU.
